A young woman being made up with smoldering smokey eyes, in a super fast version, by Louise Wittlich, makeup artist and beauty co

The smokey eye is one of the most timeless makeup styles. Subtle or intense, it looks good on almost everyone. People do still think it surely must be extremely difficult to do or take hours.

Here’s a smokey eye tutorial that will prove them wrong!
As a bonus this smokey eye is extremely long-lasting. I use products that will make sure your eyes look great all party night long.

My favourite product to make the smokiest smokey eyes: the eye pencil

It is ideal for making smokey eyes and can be used in place of an eye primer, before applying eye shadow, to give it depth and intensity. It is applied generously around the eye. Then blend it in until it is translucent for an artistic and mysterious blur. Very refined, especially when you play with the whole palette of false blacks: midnight blue, anthracite, dark green, deep violet, or metallic tones: silver, bronze, gold.

Tuto Smokey eyes en 5 minutes

Here is a version made with the latest generation of pencils, between classic pencil and eye shadow…

Among the many ways to work a smokey eye, I really like this one, which takes only 5 minutes to do. It’s very quick and effective, and super easy to do. A touch of colour, like here purple, and a hint of silver, mixed with black, gives more relief and intrigue. I use several cream shadows for this makeup that I like for their lightness and transparency, even in the darkest shades.
