“I don’t have time for morning makeup.” I hear this so often. What if I told you that you could create a fast makeup look that makes you look fresh, luminous, and “awake” in just 3 minutes?
Like you, I’m always rushing in the morning. Every minute counts. Yet, I take these few moments for a fast makeup routine. Why? Because this small moment makes all the difference: I feel ready, confident, and comfortable in my skin all day long.
The secret? The right products and simple gestures, timed by yours truly 😉
Let me explain…
Essentials First
When time is short, focus on what matters most. For most of us, that’s complexion and eyes*. A fresh, luminous skin and expressive eyes, even after a short night’s sleep, will ensure you feel your best and full of energy throughout your day.
(*Note: If your best feature is your lips, skip straight to lipstick, applied with precision. A lip liner can help create cleaner edges. Remember: nothing ages you more than poorly applied lipstick.)
60 Seconds for Radiant Skin
A liquid foundation with light coverage is your best ally. One drop on the back of your hand, a few touches on your face, and blend from the center outward. Using your fingers or a brush, adjust coverage as needed.
My tip: My louiselouise Natural Glow Foundation, which I created specifically to make your makeup routine easier and faster. I carefully developed a texture that applies as easily as a cream. It blends effortlessly for a natural, glowy, and luminous complexion.
Paired with Brush No. 12, which I designed specifically to work with its ultra-light texture, you’ll save precious time every morning.
Alternatively, I recommend MAC Face & Body foundation, which applies best with fingers. Its very light coverage is well-suited for skin requiring minimal coverage.

Wide-open Eyes in 30 Seconds
The eyelash curler, my miracle tool, even for 3-minute express makeup. Curl your lashes at the base for a few moments, count 15 seconds per side. The effect is immediate: bigger, more awake eyes, sometimes even creating a natural “lifting” effect.
30 Seconds to Make Your Eyes Intense
Choose an eye pencil that glides easily on the skin and blends effortlessly. My favorites: Victoria Beckham’s Satin Kajal Liner (in my favorite shade “cocoa”) or Zoeva’s Velvet Love Pencil.
Draw a line along your upper lashes, and if you wish, under the eyes. Gently blend with a soft brush.
Tip: If the pencil drags too much and doesn’t blend easily, your eye area probably needs hydration. Use an eye cream regularly; it will make your eye makeup much easier.
50 Seconds Dedicated to Mascara, Because it’s Worth it 😉
Complete your eye makeup with a touch of mascara. Choose a product that applies easily – meaning it doesn’t clump or create spidery lashes.
The technique: focus on the roots with small side-to-side movements, then gently glide to the tips without overloading them. Don’t forget to breathe! 😉
A quick brush with a clean spoolie to separate lashes, and you’re done!
The Final Touch: 10 Seconds for Fruity Lips
The quickest lip makeup: a tinted balm! Choose a pink or slightly peachy shade for an instant fresh effect.
And there you have it – in just 3 minutes, you’re ready to conquer your day!
The Timing of a Fresh, Radiant and Ultra Fast Makeup
The right products, simple gestures, and a well-thought-out routine:
- 60 seconds to even out your complexion
- 30 seconds with an eyelash curler for wide-open eyes
- 30 seconds of blended pencil
- 50 seconds of mascara to intensify the eyes
- 10 seconds for fresh lips
Start your day beautifully!
