I found in my archives this tutorial for a deep red velvet lipstick makeup, a timeless look!
Very few make-up styles are so fascinating, why is that? Why is a red lip so hynotizing?
Even science proves the magnetic effect of deep red lipstick
Here’s an interesting bit of news which I came across the other day:
Scientists tracked the eye movements of 50 men and found that they spent 2.2 seconds on lipstick-free mouths.
But their eyes stayed 6.7 seconds on pink lips, and… (drumbeats…) 7.3 seconds looking at red lips! And this regardless of the lips’ fullness. Quite impressive, isn’t it?
Strong colors must be perfectly applied!
Deep red lipstick is very unforgiving and must be applied perfectly smooth and even. Badly drawn, the strong color makes small imperfections and unevenness stand out. It must therefore be immaculate.
Also: Deep red lipstick demands and deserves all the attention! To make them stand out and look even more dazzling, keep a light ahand on the rest of your makeup: bring out your eyes ever so lightly and work a smooth and transparent complexion.
Here a tutorial (in French with English subtitles) on how to apply and wear the deepest velvety red lipstick. Hope you like it!
